Abstract
In his famous essay from 1968, Roland Barthes deals with a phenomenon of a writer's "death" which is redeemed by a birth of the reader. In this view, writing is considered as an anti-teleological procedure whereby a writing subject disappears in the text altogether with their history, tradition and intentions.
