The paper is based on my thesis which delimits light verb constructions (analytical verbo-nominal constructions, AVNS) – phrases which consist of a verb with a general meaning, expressing categorical semantic features (e.g. state, change of state, and cause of change of state), and an abstract substantive – from related constructions. Here I compare the AVNS excerpted from three Old and Humanistic Czech texts and from their Latin and/or German originals or translations.
Finding out interlingual parallels as well as independent intralingual models I assume that the AVNS can be constructed paradigmatically, using intralingual presuppositions, in a large extent. The analysis of the AVNS makes also possible to characterize the styles of different language versions of the same text.
