The study describes new concept of Olympic Education which gradually becomes an integral part of the curricula in P.E. teachers´ and coaches´ preparation, and penetrates into the educational system at primary and secondary schools. 30 till 60 % of Czech students consider that their school is a source of information about Olympism only. As the age of youth increases, the role of mass media in Olympic knowledge also increases and the influence of the family (parents, siblings) decreases.
In the new proposed conception of Olympic Education in Czech Republic the role of schools will prevails and will not limited only to the subject of physical education but it especially includes interdisciplinary themes belonging to other subjects. The contents of Olympic education are based in the “Framework educational program” which corresponds to different school levels and to the „School educational programs.”
