Abstract
The purpose of the conference is to present medicine, and the medical tradition, as a specific field standing between a sphere of the universal, and a sphere of the individual, as well as between sphere of nature and sphere of human culture. The specific place of medicine thus requires introducing many various approaches: from the philosophical point of view, as well as from the point of view of the history of medicine, of anthropology, of medical ethics, and last not least also from the point of view of everyday medical practice.
