Electrons scattered inside small dust grains of various materials

Abstract

The paper presents a hybrid Monte Carlo code that simulates paths of the primary electrons inside a spherical grain and provides the yield of scattered electrons and their energy spectrum as a function of the grain size and material. The model includes several corrections important for light materiále like carbon or ice and was verified using experimental results obtained on large planar samples.
