Abstract

Drug injury to the gastrointestinal tract is frequent, serious and some times life threatening. The most important and most frequent are drug-induced gastrointestinal bleeding, acute pancreatitis, side effects of antibiotics, chemotherapy-induced enterotoxicity and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs-induced injury.
