Abstract
The Czech Republic’s obligation to introduce and maintain the system of social security is set forth in Articles 26, 30, 31 and 32 of the Charter of Fundamental Rights and Freedoms. Pursuant to the Articles of the Charter, the State is obligated protect its own citizens and other natural persons against social risks, such as unemployment, lack of health care, disability to work, aging and poverty.
