Abstract
The article tries to demonstrate the importance of John Ralws´s theory of justice from the viewpoint of Christian ethics, concentrating mainly on the aspect of human rights. Rawls leaning on Kant and probably Hegel´s philosophy of law worked out within the framework of his theory his opinion about the human rights, which were protected in the 20th century mostly by the Catholic Church.
