Abstract
This chapter in the general part of the monograph deals with macroscopic structure of the liver, starting with its surface and relation to the neighboring structures, through the organization of the liver tissue and functional division of the liver, carefully analyzing the portal system and vascular trees and their functioning in the liver, and, finally it describes the structure of the biliary system.
