Students evaluation of instruction quality in blended form of university education

Abstract

The study points out that research of the quality of university teaching focused mainly on full-time study programmes and distance learning and e-learning programmes. Blended learning stand outside researcherۥs attention, despite the fact that in the Czech Republic tens of thousands of students attend such programmes each year.

Our survey at Charles University focused on programmes combining of fulltime and distance education at 5 faculties in bachelorۥs degree programmes (705 responents). The questionnaire measured 9 factors of evaluation: curriculum, office for studies, examination, demands, values of learned material, quality of study literature, effectiveness of teaching, distance-learning problems, and acceptability of only electronic study materials.
