Changing age structure of population as a challenge for local authorities: Population prospects for city district Prague 3.

Abstract

Population changes faced by Central European countries have had their specific course in different types of settlements and even within separate city districts. The example of the Prague inner city district Praha 3 shows how large scale revitalization and new housing can influence historically founded developments of population structures, and illustrates how it is important for effective policy measures to have information on population prospect and robustness of its development trends.
