What Is the Wick in the Candle For? – An Example of the Methodological Sequence in the “Eureka” Project

Abstract

The article describes the "Heureka" project aimed at physics education of the age group of 12-18 and at both pre- and in-service training of physiscs teachers. The "Heureka approach" is illustrated in detail using the methodical sequence in first lessons for 12 years old pupils.

During the conference presentation all participans were involved actively in doing experiments and discussing their meaning in the same way as is typical for pupils.
