Abstract
The analysis of the judgments of the Czech Constitutional Court on the compliance of the Treaty of Lisabon with the Czech constitutional order presents a critical assesesment of its competence and respective criteria for such a review. It evaluates the Court's approach to re-definition of state sovereignty and functioning of the principle of democracy in the European Union.
