Despite the increasing number of students at medical schools, the Czech Republic faced with a very low proportion of graduates who eventually choose to specialize in fields of primary health care. The situation is critical especially in fields of general practice and practice medicine for children and adolescents.
Without a considerable increase in the number of graduates who opt for specialized training in these fields in the coming years may be up to the collapse of health care delivery system. Among the main priorities of the current health care would be the two important points: (1) increasing incentives for young physicians in the fields of specialization on primary health care (2) present convincing doctors to carry out their profession as long as possible - without their help would be liable occur already in the horizon of 10–15 years to ruin a system for providing primary health care.
