This monograph is a philosophical-anthropological intepretation of Kierkegaard's notion of the human condition. The interpretation focuses on Kierkegaard's crucial motif of "becoming a Christian", which, when employed in concreto, leads Kierkegaard to his strategy of "indirect communication".
The study presents a coherent view of the dialectical movement of existence through the various spheres of existence (esthetics, ethics, religiozity and finaly Christianity). Kierkegaard's literary style is given credit, the study pays major attention to the author's pseudonymity, irony etc.
As a result, it is maintained, that Kierkegaard's philosophy is to be understood as a concrete relationship of the author and "his reader", whom he helps along the way towards Christianity.
