Analysis and modeling of the water quality in the Olšava river basin

Abstract

The framework in examining possibilities of water quality modelling using a commercial model MIKE BASIN. The main goal is to create an accurate model of the current state of water quality in the Olšava river basin, that is permanently notably polluted.

Using the water quality balance model two scenarios of possible elimination of both point and nonpoint sources are examined and modeled.
