Abstract
In 2001, almost 40% population over the age of 15 attained lower secondary education (ISCED 3B, 3C), 28 % upper secondary (ISCED 3A, 4, 5B) and 9 % university education (ISCED 5A, 6). The educational level depends on the age and sex, in 2001 the proportion of males and females in the 25-29 age group with the university education was approximately identical (11 %) .
