Abstract

This report deals with certain problematic questions that arose after one of the profiling thinkers of European Middle Ages, St Thomas Aquinas, renewed and perfected the aristotelic-biblical anthropology in its relationship towards the cult of the saints and their relics. Although his approach questioned or impugned according to some of his critics the cult of the saints, the anthropology and eschatology of St Thomas foremost releases the cult of the saints from the superstitious elements and places it in the right place in the context of the Christian faith.
