Abstract
Recabites prezent the alternative life style in Izrael. The name of eponym „Recab“ is connected with the prophete Elijah and Elisha´s using the expression receb (carriage) which characterized Recabs as the continuators of Elijah´s traditions.
In Jr 35 the Recabites attitudes are the part of God´s prophecies.
