The Family Act from the Perspective of the State Archives

Publication at Protestant Theological Faculty |
2010

Abstract

This study follows the passing of the Family Act in the 1963. It summarizes existing attitudes to the study of this problematic and compares theirs conclusions with up to now unknown documents of the states archives.

The study concludes that the relative awakening in the matter of the civil rights among Czech-Brethren protestants in this period is based on the false assumption, that the campaign of the Czech Brethren against some parts of the Family Act affected the final version of the Act.
