Abstract

The book focuses on objectives of personnel management, multidisciplinary grounding of personnel management - theoretical basis, personnel aspects in the development of management in 20th century, whereas separately is there attention paid to japanese management in personnel area and development of personnel management in the Czech Republic. Further deals the book with changes in personnel work in the 20th century, external and internal influences on personnel management in organization, problematic of personnel strategy, personnel and social politics of organization and responsibility for personnel management - work of personnel specialists (personnel department) and personnel work of line leading employees.

As a part of the book, the trends in personnel management after the year 2000 are incorporated.
