This article discusses the issue of subject integration of art and language education on pre-school level and first grade of elementary schools. Its aim is to present particular intentions and premises of integration and offer a brief overview of some challenges that integration brings.
This is illustrated by examples of the author''s experience from designing and running courses for teachers and through sketches of ideas relevant for the subject. The essay offers an outline of various approaches held by teachers.
These approaches are pre-requisites for in-depth integration.
