Immigration policy opens up several ethical questions. What are the arguments for existence of immigration policy? Under what fundamental criteria should immigration policies be formulated, if they should be not only pragmatic and realisable but fair, right and ethical responsible as well? The aim of the study is a presentation of fundamental arguments for existence of immigration policies as such, discussion about their ethical aspects and presentation of basic issues of the ethical reflection that are principles of human rights, global justice and solidarity.
In concluding part, some impulses for „ethically responsible immigration policy“ are introduced, including for example involvement in support of development in poorer countries and regions, guarantee of human rights of every agent involved, accepting political refugees as ethical cathegoric obligation and other ethical criteria in immigration policies.
