Abstract
The aging process in developped countries of the World confronts humans with the issue of quality of life and its meaning in the elderly. The goal of this presentation is to inform about the research project focused on certain aspects of the meaning of life in the elderly.
Obtained results indicate that it is possible to help the senior citizens who are mostly endangered by the loss of meaning of life. Social assistance has to be concetrated on the support of meaningful life, selfsufficiency and protection of the dignity of elderly.
