Abstract
The contribution deals with the different definitions of text corpuses in children''s literature / young-adult fiction in Germany, Austria and the Czech Republic. It defines the term of a modern classic in contemporary children''s literature/ young-adult fiction and it presents an outline of these authors in German literature in comparison with the official Czech literature until 1989 which was translated to German.
