The study focuses mainly on the analysis of the personnel policy Catherines II in the context of the Relations between Russsia and Central Europe and activity of the Centraeuropeans in Russia in the foreign and dynastic policy, at the court, in the army and administration. It explains why the relationships between Central Europe and Russia were in the 18th century so important, how they differed from the relationships to other countries and which long-term effects had the reciprocal influence.
