The aim of this paper is to answer a question, if the administrative corporate liability represents the alternative of the corporate criminal liability in the Czech Republic. For this reason, the elemental description of the rejected bill on a criminal responsibility of legal persons from 2004 is described firstly.
Simultaneously, the reasons of rejection are explained closely. Subsequently, the debates on the next Czech legislative steps are presented, i. a. the possibility to introduce the administrative accountability of legal persons or a combination of administrative and criminal responsibility of legal persons into the Czech legal system.
The final part explains the reason why the introduction of the administrative accountability of corportions (legal persons) does not present an adequate substitute for the criminal responsibility. Besides that, the anticipated legislative development is indicated.
