Popcultural citizenship as a theoretical framework for studying socialist and post-socialist popular culture

Abstract

The article targets popular culture in communist Czechoslovakia as a potential source of popcultural citizenship. It illuminates opportunities for polysemic reading by pointing to the particulat textual properties of the television serials of the times.
