Abstract

This article deals with a special group of travellers, motorists. We can divide them in three groups.

Scholars and scientists who used the car as a useful vehical to reach foreign countries, adventurers who were travelling for fun and distant drivers who wanted to travel as fast as possible in a complicatred terrain of desert. We can say that all of them admired ancient monuments but they also admited to bring a 'suvenir' from Egypt.
