Abstract
Study material is the outline of evolution and actual state of databases of databases. Mainly the databases of databases of registration type, but also catalogues of databases and other information products are comprised.
Special attention is devoted to object of registration, i.e. to databases, especially to their classification or typology in historical context. In the end of the text the example of new view to typology of databases available on Internet and the possibilities of their automated registration are presented.
