Abstract
Czech Republic has undergone over the past two decades, major social changes. During the development and adoption of the new Civil Code, we are among the more developed countries of Europe, in private law as well.
The project of the new Civil Code is based on the one hand, of our democratic and legal traditions on the other side of the principles and norms of European private law. This project will affect the lives of all citizens of the Czech Republic for ten years.
Draft Civil Code is attached to the Charter of Fundamental Rights and Fundamental Freedoms and other international agreements, and offers new and different civil law, as the value system of private law.
