Spatial variation of Daphnia parasite load within individual waterbodies

Abstract

We analysed spatial and temporal distribution of several taxonomic groups of microparasites infecting the Daphnia longispina complex in Czech canyon-shaped reservoirs, and revealed high heterogeneity at among- as well as within-reservoir scale.
