The paper analyzes the basic communication skills are placed in the available literature and comparing them with the results of an exploratory survey conducted in nursing master's degree of general medicine at the 2nd Medical University Hospital Motol in Prague. The basic communication skills most often mentioned in literary sources not just for nursing include active listening, empathy, the art of solving conflict situations and ability to self-reflection.
Comparing these categories with the student's communication and the concept of urgency in bringing professional care priorities for confirmation of selected units and unrepresentable space across the entire communication cycle.
