Complex modulation of peptidolytic activity of cathepsin D by sphingolipids

Abstrakt

A complex pattern of modulation of the peptidolytic activity of cathepsin D by sphingolipids was described. Sphingolipids and phosphosphingolipids, known to be antagonistic in their cell signalling functions, displayed opposite modulation of cathepsin D.
