Great Battles of the World History : Dreux 1562

Publication at Faculty of Arts |

Abstract

The battle of Dreux was fought in 1562 between Anne de Montmorency, the leader of the Catholics, and Louis de Condé, who led the Huguenots. Both of them were captured by the other side during the fighting.

The battle is considered as a Catholic victory, because their losses were slightly less numerous than the losses of the Huguenot army.
