Abstract
The subject of an article is the work of Martin Ehrmann which significantly influenced a development of chemistry and pharmacy not only in Moravia but also in the whole Austrian monarchy. An author pays attention to his teaching courses at the universities of Vienna and Olomouc as well as to his work of publication and of organization which led to the foundation of the first association of druggists in Austria and to the birth of the first pharmaceutical journal.
