Abstract

The aim of the study was to compare the reliability of isokinetic knee strength testing. Thirteen athletes (8 males, 5 females) were measured on the Cybex Humac Norm dynamometer.

Concentric strength was measured in 60o/s (5 rep.) and 180o/s (15 rep.). The movement consisted of flexion and extension in the left and right knee joints.

The intraclass correlation coefficients (ICC) ranged 0,92-0,95 for flexion and 0,91-0,96 for extension at angular velocity 60o/s and 0,88-0,94 and 0,95-0,97 at 180o/s. The results confirmed high reliability for the specific knee isokinetic strength test.
