Abstract
This paper gives interpretations to social and political background of journalists in the Czech media after World War II. It draws on the sources that we found in The Archive of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia.
The main aim of the work was to systematize pieces of information about social origin of journalists of the non-communist daily newspapers, their education or political affiliation.
