Abstract
Drawing of distinctions between "conceptual apparates" of history/social science and their "cultures" (with quotation of M. Foucault and use of the term "symbolic centres" by M.
Havelka). The author argues that there are tendencies in Czech historiography of recent times to using of "symbolic centres" rather than critically analysing them.
