Abstract
The text deals with the problem of changes in education in the postmodern era. It is concerned with the question of educational institutions'' reform development in the last decades.
We can ask whether this development has led to a higher standard of education and to formation of men''s good character. It concentrates mainly on the changes of the concept and functioning of university, on the changes of intellectuals'' social status and it critically rejects massive increase of individualism in education.
