Abstract

The current global world represents a big challenge to traditional ways of storing, providing and retrieval of useful information. In this paper, we will discuss both the traditional phonetic algorithms applicable to phonetic search in foreign texts, and modern approaches inspired by the theory of finite-state automata that are efficient in particular for large text collections.
