Abstract
Medical newspaper article for broad professional readership summarizes the results of a large multicentric European study of antipsychotic treatment in first episode schizophrenia. The study has confirmed, that the randomized treatment with a second generation antipsychotic is associated with higher rates of remission, response measured as psychopathology reduction, and with the better retention of the randomized treatment.
