This article compares the language used in the persuasive texts promoting communist and national socialist ideology. After brief introduction the authors focuses on key words in both languages; the word "lid" (people) in the communist language and the word "národ" (nation) in the national socialist language.
The article compares the ways in which these words are used, and the aim which they should serve. It explains these terms as means of legitimization, which is achieved by strategies of rationalization, universalisation and narrativization.
The article also reveals secondary signification which is connected to the key words. The article follows up with prior knowledge of the communist language, which has been studied in more details than national socialist language.
