Spanish and Italian adjectives formed by means of the suffix -ble/-bile and their Czech counterparts

Abstract
This article aims to describe the Spanish and Italian adjectives formed by means of the suffix -ble and their Czech translation counterparts. The empirical basis for the study is constituted by three parallel corpora (Spanish - Czech / Italian - Czech / Spanish - Italian) which are part of the larger InterCorp parallel corpus project.
The study puts forward the hypothesis according to which the Romance adjectives in -ble correspond to Czech adjectives formed by means of the suffix -telný, which is purported to carry the same semantic instruction. The article shows to what extent this correspondence is valid and what the variability of translation solutions looks like.
