Abstract

This research paper explains the concept of framing and its role in social and cognitive sciences. It will focus on latest framing research done by George Lakoff.

Current investigations indicates that many schools still fail in media education to realize the expected outcomes of the FEP, and that the stereotype teaching methods are prevailing, even though the importance of this cross-cutting theme is felt by students themselves. This paper aims to introduce the framing issues as one of the possible indicators of core competencies of media literacy.
