Abstract
The text deals with the problem of Symbol from the phenomenological point of view, especially in the founder of phenomenological philosophy, Edmund Husserl. Symbol here is conceived from the peculiar time-structure, in which something present, "now" refers to something not-present, "not-now".
This structure is understandable only on the basis of inner ontological structure of human, which alone is "self-timing". From this point Jaroslava Pešková understands Symbol as something, which structures our Lebenswelt and our own praxis, or rather which relate our present practice to the meaning of this practice.
