A report from the Corpus Linguistics 2011 conference held in Birmingham on 20-22 July. This year, more than 250 participants attended the conference with its 3 plenaries, 137 full papers, 16 "pecha kuchas" (short presentations of 20 slides, each shown for 20 seconds - thus giving 6 minutes 40 seconds to each presenter) and 35 posters.
Furthermore, 2 colloquia (on Professional discourse and corpora and on Recent Perspectives on Multi-Dimensional Analysis) and 5 workshops were on offer.
