A patriot, educator, organizer, natural scientist, writer, physician and philosopher - that was Karel Slavoj Amerling. He followed the work of J.
A. Komenský.
He wanted to teach the Czech nation in its mother tongue. His aim was to educate Czech youth in the way they would become a representative of the Austrian monarchy and would spread education in Europe and throughout the world.
