Population biology and habitat requirements of species belonging to Minuartia verna agg.

Abstract

There are three plant species from Minuartia verna agg. growing in the Czech Republic. All species are long-lived, which is typical of stress tolerant plant species.

On the other hand, they show high seed production and high natality and mortality, which is typical of R-strategists. For these reasons, Minuartia species could be considered as SR strategists
