STRUCTURAL STUDIES OF TITANIA NANOTUBES

Abstract

The crystal structure of TiO2 nanotubes was stud ied by X-ray diffrac tion and trans mission electron microscopy. The structure was identified as Beta-phase of TiO2.

A model based on this struc ture was created - a 2D sheet rolled into a tube - and used for calculations of powder X-ray diffrac tion patterns with varied model parameters: the lattice cell parameters: a, b, c, and angle Beta.
